QuitJourney - Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how QuitJourney (“the App”) handles information. The App works offline first and does not require an account.

Information We Collect

• Your data stays on your device: your quit date, habits, progress, cravings, reasons, slips, savings goals and program progress are stored only on your device and are not sent to us or anyone else.
• Anonymous usage statistics: to improve the App, we collect anonymous usage events through TelemetryDeck, a privacy-focused analytics service based in the EU. Examples: that onboarding was completed, that a lesson was opened, that the paywall was shown, or that a purchase was completed, plus basic technical details such as app version, iOS version and device model. These events contain no name, email, contact details or anything you type, and no health details such as your cravings, triggers or slips. They use a random, hashed identifier that cannot be linked to you and is not used to track you across other apps or websites. You can turn this off at any time in the App under Settings → Privacy.
• Purchases: subscriptions and in-app purchases are processed by Apple. The App receives only the status needed to unlock Premium; we never see your payment details.
• Apple Health (optional): if you connect Apple Health, the App reads your resting heart rate, heart rate variability, steps and sleep to compare them before and after your quit date. This data is read only, processed on your device, never written to Apple Health, never sent to us or anyone else, and never used for advertising or analytics. You can turn access off at any time in the Health app or in Settings → Health → Data Access & Devices.
• Apple Watch: the App sends your quit date, current streak, Premium status and first reason from your iPhone to your own Apple Watch, so the watch app can show them. This stays between your own devices.
• No advertising and no tracking: the App shows no ads and does not track you across apps or websites.

How We Use Information

• To run the App’s features (timer, calculations, quit program, reminders, widgets) on your device.
• To unlock Premium using the purchase status provided by Apple.
• To understand, in aggregate, how the App is used so we can improve it.

Data Sharing

• We do not sell or share your personal data.
• Anonymous usage statistics are processed by TelemetryDeck on our behalf (telemetrydeck.com/privacy).

Data Retention and Control

• App data stays on your device. Deleting the App or using “Reset All Data” in Settings removes it.
• You can turn off anonymous usage statistics in the App under Settings → Privacy.
• Subscriptions can be managed or cancelled in your Apple Account settings.

Health Information

QuitJourney is a support tool, not a medical service. For medical advice about quitting, talk to a pharmacist or doctor.

Children

The App is not directed to children under 13.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy. Changes will be reflected in the “Last updated” date.
